cites process is managed differently across countries but it is centered around the import and export certificates. it is best to check with your country if you intend to export, and for the receiver to check with their own country what the process is like. a general rule is that the export permit must be applied, before it can be shipped. the importer needs to have the export permit ready to apply for the import permit. but some items can be exempted, for eg completed products don’t need an import certificate. i believe some countries charge a flat fee, but some countries charge fees per piece of item.

Thanks for the clarification … should I consider it a good leather? It came from Springfield leather in the US and they say it’s from tanneries used by luxury brands. It feels like plastic on top, and I don’t want to pass it off as luxury leather if it is not! Thanks

not just about the feed roller being new/old, but whether the material you are skiving is stuck to the feed roller. it happens more often with softer materials, and if you do not have a vacuum suction for your machine...
