- Glueing micrfiber liningEn Help! How do I...·28 January 2021Hello everybody, I have a problem that you hopefully can solve. I have to line a sleeve with a microfiber cloth and I want it to be strongly attached to the leather. My problem is that the cloth is rather thin, so if I put glue on its backside, it penetrates straight away to the other (visible) side. I tried applying glue to the leather only and than to lay the cloth over it; it got attached but it's not a strong bonding. Any tricks or helps? A quality microfiber source would also be very appreciated. Many thanks11312
- Gluing - Never seen this method elsewhereEn Help! How do I...3 August 2025One needs to make sure there is no air in between the leather and the bonded. Also to make sure there’s good adhesion between the two and no wrinkles. As for the paper this prevents the leather from sticking to the bonded leather prematurely.25

- Gluing - Never seen this method elsewhereEn Help! How do I...4 August 2025The reason I use that method instead of a roller is because a roller can stretch the leather. Think of pizza dough and using a roller. It’s spreads it out and makes it bigger.31
- Padding for soft volumeEn Help! How do I...·16 May 2025Hi. What do you use for padding to give a volume to leather, but with soft and bouncy feel? I've seen some use foam sheets. Specific suggestions and where to buy would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.1040

- Intercom Ecostick 1804En Help! How do I...·16 April 2025Has anyone tried Intercom Ecostick 1804? I need to buy more glue. Usually, I buy Ecostick 1816b (polychloroprene latex), but now one of my sources has Ecostick 1804 (polyurethane-based adhesive). Ecostick 1804 is supposed to be more viscous, designed for manual application rather than machine application, and is supposed to have a stronger bond. However, many people online seem to insist that 1816b has the stronger bond.0388

- Is this real Saffiano ?En Help! How do I...31 December 2024This isnt Saffiano, it is what is referred to as "Epsom" (actually Hermes's name for it). There is no such thing as "real" epsom as there are many tanneries that produce this exact embossed finish. The back side is the flesh side of the leather, nothing is glues to it. You see like a pattern to it from the embossing process and what you see as the top layer from the back where its cut is the heavily coated and embossed top layer of the skin. Hope this helps.22
