- Hardware suppliersEn Beginner's Corner28 October 2020Poursin’s hardware is amazing, very high quality, all brass and made in Paris. But for me personally it’s a bit too traditional, I am looking for something more contemporary. I believe they have a history in saddlery hardware.0
- Basic Tools For Beginning LeathercraftEn Beginner's Corner24 October 2021What’s the difference between using a Vergez Blanchard number 4 and the smaller number 3 saddlers’ hammer? Does the extra inch in length and slightly heavier weight make the no.4 more suitable for handbags?00

- Do you prepare your pricking irons?En Beginner's Corner14 November 2020thank you for explaining Robby! yes, i would like to think so to. but there isnt any one sharing the experience of how to sharpen them.. and in this case I am worried i might ruin my VB irons 😭0
- Inevitable NoiseEn Beginner's Corner8 November 2020@Danielle Cancel I use a very sharp crimson hide pricking iron (they always come very sharp). I trace a guide line and then position it very firm, and just slightly push it in and goes all the way through without hammering and all that noise. That's my method of course there are consequences associated with that and that's no the right way, for example if you push to hard, then the holes get too big but to avoid that you can just mark the holes and then use an awl to go all the way through (haven't tried it).20

- Basic Tools For Beginning LeathercraftEn Beginner's Corner10 June 2023I am quite excited to begin and have almost gathered all necessary tools. My apologies for the many questions. What size linen thread and color, please? (Hopefully) this is the last item to be decided: the M3000 or M6000 from either CraftTool (quite a bit less expensive than) RMLeather? I posted this question elsewhere so forgive the duplication.00

- Inevitable NoiseEn Beginner's Corner10 November 2020Hi Danielle, You can put hard foam sheet insulation on the underside of your workbench. This helps a little. Skiving the edges of the leather pieces along with KS blade irons does make for less hammering.10
