I am just starting my leather journey. I used to work in the custom picture framing industry years ago and enjoyed the combination of design and crafting. I have wanted to start working with my hands again and fell upon leather craft during COVID. I like the idea of being able to start in a small space as I do not have access to a workshop at the moment. After delaying for the past year, I have decided to get going. Mainly because my kids keep calling me out on my procrastination ;)
My wife found @atelierpeternitz through a random Google search and then I found @Alex Dorandish and @Julien Danel through IG. Alex was kind enough to return my message and convinced me this was the right set of tutorials. I am in the process of ordering tools and getting a small work area setup. Having some accountability is good for me, so I hope to document my process and use this forum to help with that.
Many thanks to all those who have offered help here to us newbies
