- Zipper stops카테고리: Help! How do I...·12 May 2022Hi, I’m going to order some Riri zipper tape. Is it easier, or just as easy, to use a regular pair of pliers to attach the stops on a zipper? Or should I get the pliers made specifically for that purpose? $85 seems like a lot if the other will do as well. Thanks for any help!11154
- Where to buy lamb-/sheepskin?카테고리: Help! How do I...·3 February 2021Hello everyone, I am constructing my first leather jacket. I want to line the hole jacket in short hair lambskin. - Gluing - Never seen this method elsewhere카테고리: Help! How do I...3 August 2025One needs to make sure there is no air in between the leather and the bonded. Also to make sure there’s good adhesion between the two and no wrinkles. As for the paper this prevents the leather from sticking to the bonded leather prematurely.25

- Gluing - Never seen this method elsewhere카테고리: Help! How do I...4 August 2025The reason I use that method instead of a roller is because a roller can stretch the leather. Think of pizza dough and using a roller. It’s spreads it out and makes it bigger.31

- Intercom Ecostick 1804카테고리: Help! How do I...·16 April 2025Has anyone tried Intercom Ecostick 1804? I need to buy more glue. Usually, I buy Ecostick 1816b (polychloroprene latex), but now one of my sources has Ecostick 1804 (polyurethane-based adhesive). Ecostick 1804 is supposed to be more viscous, designed for manual application rather than machine application, and is supposed to have a stronger bond. However, many people online seem to insist that 1816b has the stronger bond.03128

- perfect thickness composition for bigger bags?카테고리: Beginner's Corner22 November 2020Hi TC, An important factor to consider in all this is if the lining is getting completely glued down or kept loose. This changes everything. Generally I do not fully glue down linings with the exception being sometimes the bottom because I want to to be stiffer or gussets in which case the lining needs to be much thinner. For exterior leather I generally use 1.8-2.4mm total with reinforcement(if needed). This all depends on your leather type as well as the effect you want from your finished bag. Then the lining I use is between 0.8-1.2. You mentioned 0.5. This is far to thin to use as a loose lining and should only be split so thin if it's going to be fully glued to the exterior. If you are making something that is fully glued then best is to test with scraps to see how the hand is once all layers are glued. P100
