- Edge finishing -channel in the middle of the EdgeIn Help! How do I...·2 May 2021Hi Peter ! Have a quick question on the edge finishing. Watched your tutorial number of times, but always when my paint is dry there is a channel in the middle (I think always in the place where leather is glued together) . Even with further good sanding , next time when paint is drying the same is happening. Is there a way to avoid it ?04334
- Disadvantage of base coatIn Help! How do I...·22 June 2021I haven't used a base coat yet, but I heard that using it will speed up making the clean edge so most of the brand use it for their products. If it is true and there is no disadvantage of it, I would rather use it instead of repeating a number of grinding and edge painting. However, Peter does not use it in his edge paint tutorial, and I feel like using a base coat is a kind of compromising the quality. If you have any exprience or information about the base coat, please share it so that I could use it in appropriate situations. :)04791

- SkiverIn Beginner's Corner28 December 2020I'm not familiar with either of these but I can tell you a couple things you want to be sure of. First you need to be sure that the speed can be controlled very well. You dont want something that has a fixed speed or doesnt have the ability to go very slow. Also consider that these have no suction and just throw everything onto the floor. It will increase the price to have a machine with suction but its much more convenient. Maybe someone else with more experience on different machines can chime in with their advice.20
