- Table top boardsIn Help! How do I...4 March 2022Hi Malik, those would be some kind of granite or stone. I got mine as remnants from a kitchen countertop installer. You can also get them from tool sellers--machinists use them. On Amazon they're called granite surface plates. Some leather tool suppliers also sell them but may be expensive to ship due to the weight.21

- Which Model/Brand Bell Skiver Uses This Roller Foot?In Help! How do I...5 May 2022There's the clearance, but the point of that specific foot is for leathers where the top is delicate or flimsy and wants feed support on both the top and bottom. - Does one punch holes on the top front and back panels of a bag, prior to attaching tubular handles? Happy New Year!In Help! How do I...2 January 2021Hi Teri, That all depends on the model and how its constructed. For example on my Dream bag I will punch, stitch and polish the front panel top edge before adding the handle because I can still open it up and have access to the inside between he exterior and lining. But on the back handle, holes can be punched first only because I am attaching the flap afterwards which covers the lining. If the construction was exactly like the front and the lining was exposed inside then I would have to attached the back handle first and then close up the lining, punch, stitch and polish. Happy New Year to you as well and let me know how you like those needles when they arrive! p21
- Padded Dog CollarIn Help! How do I...10 November 2020Hi David, If its lining for a dog collar I think you would want something quite durable and resistant right? I would maybe try Zermatt leather from Degermann. This is used for lining watch straps and bracelets as its very resistant to moisture and allergy.11
- Padded Dog CollarIn Help! How do I...10 November 2020Hi David, you’re welcome! I just saw your example on the other forum and I think the nappa will work better for that kind of lining because it’s softer. A friend of mine makes that kind of padded items and I think he uses the open cell foam you posted for padding.11
- Purse LiningIn Help! How do I...12 October 2020Hi Danielle, I like all my bags with leather. I generally use between 0.8 to 1.2mm thickness for loose lining(not glued fully to the outer panels). Sometimes on gussets where the lining is fully glued down I’ll split it to 0.5/0.6mm it really all depends on the leathers im using and the feel I want for the bag.21
