I thought the grind would throw off measurement accuracy for edge beveling, but this does not seem to be the case. If I measure a margin of 10mm, I still get 10mm. Edit: After a bit more use of this modified presser foot, I do need to add about 3mm/4mm to my edge bevel to allow for the metal that I removed.1
