- how do you skive ostrich leather? In Help! How do I...·13 November 2020Hello guys, I’ve been wondering as per topic. got my self ostrich from KK couple months back, it surprises me how loose and inconsistent the fiber layers can be even though they were sold at a not too cheap price tag. Similar experience with snake skin.. I tried using my bell skiver but it’ll end up seperating the scales because it went too deep. As for ostrich, it happened again.. it’ll go deeper under the follicle as they are slightly thicker due to the pearl (which ive already tapped them down) and which will also give pressure going into the feed of the bell skiver (i guess?) thus, i am wondering, how do I do this?36661
- Electric creaser machine and tips to buy; Adece vs RegadIn Help! How do I...·20 December 2024Hello! Can anyone please give me an advice regarding a creasing machine and tips to buy? 🙏 I am considering Adece machine, but I'm unsure about filetuse tips. Does anyone use Adece filetuse tips? If do, are you satisfied with a quality? Can you compare it with Regad tips? As for Regad tips, I found different information on the creasing distances. For example, FN3 - is it 2,5 mm distance from the edge or 1,25 mm? I would be very grateful for any recommendation! Thank you. Best regards, Marijeta0133
- Handle typeIn Help! How do I...·9 December 2020In handbag design: Is it better to make handles that are sewn on and stand up, or is it also acceptable to make handles that attach to a square, that's attached to the bag itself, and can lay down? How do you decide which type of handle to use?42207

- Thank you Peter and Julien. In Welcome! ·22 October 2020For those who I have yet not met, my name is Eero and I run Arte Helsinki - from Helsinki, Finland. Somehow most of my clients are watch enthusiasts and watch straps are about 90% of what I do. I have been a massive fan for some time now and want to take this moment to thank you guys for this and the awesome tutorials so far. I am not new in leathercraft, but I still find the tutorials good and interesting. Some things here and there are new, some I do differently but the best part is to get a new perspective on some things. And new ideas! Tutorial wishes - gusset designs. your style of wallets and how Julien and you would make a watch strap. so Thanks and be safe everyone! -Eero34222

- what are you preferred pricking Irons? In Welcome! ·21 February 2021from the influence of @atelierpeternitz i am retiring all my VB irons and switching to KS, i realize not only the strength of the metal but the length of the teeth matters alot especially punching through thick layers without using awl, I have a question though, considered giving up the 1 teeth iron, switching to round dent suggested from the video, do I really need both 1 tooth round dent in size #8 and #9? do they have any significant differences? - Bell skiver tipsIn Help! How do I...·6 February 2021Morning all! Mr. Nitz, I just added a bell skiver to my life and was just wanting to ask a quick question. do you keep your feed roll perfectly parallel to the knife edge? I notice in your videos you only adjust your presser foot depth and angle. also would you suggest switching to a rubber style vs "stone" feed roll? Looking forward to the tutorial on them ;) thank you!! Tyler -Maison Kuro26485
